Glycan details
In the GlyGen portal the collected information of a glycan is presented in the glycan information or glycan details page. This webpage is subdivided into sections presenting different pieces of information, such as glycosylation data, protein binding, references to other databases and publications about this glycan.
Information sections
The collected information is presented in different section using mainly table representation or text. However there are also interactive sections that can be manipulated by users.
General
The General section of the Glycan Details page contains identifying information about the glycan from reference databases and sources. The GlyTouCan Accession is a unique identifier assigned to the registered glycan structure in the GlyTouCan database. Additional fields include mass, composition, glycan type, Byonic and InCHI key.
Organism
The Organism section of the Glycan Details page provides a list of organisms in which the glycan has been reported from reference databases and sources. Species annotations are retrieved from GNOme, GlyTouCan, GlyConnect, GPTwiki, and UniCarbKB.
Names
The Names section of the Glycan Details page provides information about the glycan name(s) and synonym(s) retrieved from GlyTouCan and UniCarbKB.
Motifs
The Motifs section of the Glycan Details page provides information about the glycan motifs present in the glycan.
