The Organism section of the Glycan details page in GlyGen provides a list of organisms in which the glycan has been reported.
Organism
This section provides the scientific name of the organism, common name, and the taxonomy ID for the organism. Eg. Homo sapiens (Human) [9606]
Source of information
The Organism data is generated from direct taxonomy ID annotation and/or inferred via subsumption from resources such as GNOme, GlyTouCan, GlyConnect, GPTwiki, and UniCarbKB.
Data access
The collected data is processed and stored in data.glygen.org in the following datasets:
- Glycan Species (GLY_000341)
- Glycans with NeuAc (Customized table) (GLY_000342)
