This is an incredible opportunity for our summer interns to demonstrate their skills and showcase the knowledge and experiences they've gained throughout their internship journey. Our interns will highlight their innovative projects and the valuable contributions they've made to GlyGen.
Internship Description
The GlyGen Common Fund Data Ecosystem (CFDE) Summer 2024 internship at The George Washington University offered a unique opportunity for both undergraduate and graduate students to gain hands-on experience in the exciting field of bioinformatics. This in-person, paid internship ran from June 3 to July 26, 2024, providing interns with the chance to work closely with experts on projects that involved the exploration and analysis of glycans, proteins, and biomarkers. Interns engaged in both bioinformatics programming and data wrangling, contributing to cutting-edge biomedical research while developing essential skills. With a focus on collaborative learning, participants worked alongside teams from GlyGen and CFDE, enhancing their understanding of biological concepts and gaining practical experience in data integration and machine learning applications. This internship not only fostered professional growth but also empowered interns to make significant contributions to the scientific community.
